About me
My name is Lea (pronounced “Lee”), and I make things.
I’ve been a creator all my life. Painting, writing, music, baking, you name it. I love the feeling of taking the colors, words, and sounds in my soul and watching them pour out into the world.
As a doctor of psychology and former therapist, I’ve spent my entire adult life reflecting on what it means to be fulfilled — to live the most authentic and joyful life I possibly can.
I created this space because I believe the world is better with art.
Art is my chosen language of expression, connection, and meaning. I want you to see it. And I want to see yours.
Here, you’ll find my writing, some visual arts, and a shop where I sell the silly little things I come up with. I hope you enjoy it.
FAQs
Yes, but maybe not in the way you think. I’ve published several articles in academic journals, and I’ve written chapters for books on the Psychology of popular media franchises (like the Psychology of Final Fantasy, edited by Anthony Bean). However, none of my novels are published — yet.
Are you published?
Yes! Infrequently, and I tend to be pretty choosy about them. (I generally only work on things that bring me joy). But if you’re interested in a commission, reach out!
Do you do commissions?
Not currently, no. I work in the videogame industry in Insights (which involves things like research, analytics, and audience strategy). I won’t lie, it’s an awesome job and I’m grateful for it every day. My art isn’t my primary income, but it has been at various points in my life.
Are you a full-time artist?
What projects are you currently working on?
I’m working on two book manuscripts: first, my fantasy novel, which is currently in Alpha Reads; and second, a self help book which is in manuscript. I’m always writing my before my coffee gets cold series, and I occasionally write a short story when inspiration strikes.
How can I stay in touch?

Do you use ChatGPT or other forms of AI in your writing?
None of my writing has ever been generated using AI. Ever. That’s a hard line I draw. And before you ask — yes, I have always been a frequent user of emdashes. That said, I will sometimes put segments into ChatGPT and ask for its takeaways on the flow and pacing. It will share feedback such as “The transition from the middle to the end is too abrupt” or “The first paragraph is too wordy and would benefit from making it more succinct.” This falls within my ethical boundaries of its use, although you are welcome to disagree with me.
What’s the deal with the shipping materials?
I won’t pretend to be some great environmentalist, but I’d prefer my shop not contribute to the massive global waste epidemic. You’ll notice many of my shipping materials are made with recycled items: amazon boxes, leftover drafting paper, etc. It may not scream “professional,” but I’m proud of my commitment here.
Certainly. I’ve done my research to offer what I believe to be fair prices for my work. However, that assessment may change based on new information. I will do my best to keep prices fair and shipping estimates accurate.
Will your prices ever change?
